Take Care ("we", "us", or "our"), operated by Fintastic Apps, provides the Take Care mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in via Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo (if provided by the sign-in provider). We use this to create and identify your account.
Health Task Data
You create health tasks (medications, hydration, exercise, nutrition, vitals) within the App. This data includes task names, schedules, categories, priorities, completion status, and timestamps.
Proof Submissions
You may optionally upload photos or videos as proof of task completion, or fill in form-based check-ins (e.g., blood pressure, temperature). These are stored securely and only visible to you and your linked care takers.
Relationship Data
If you link accounts with family members (care taker/dependent relationships), we store the relationship status and the associated user IDs.
I'm Fine Check-Ins
If you enable the "I'm Fine" safety check-in feature, we store your check-in settings (schedule, emergency contacts) and check-in history (timestamps and responses). This data is used to notify your designated contacts if you miss a check-in.
Notification Tokens
We collect your device's push notification token to send you reminders and alerts. You can disable notifications at any time.
Purchase Information
If you make an in-app purchase (e.g., tip jar), the transaction is processed entirely by Google Play or Apple App Store. We do not collect or store your payment details (credit card numbers, billing address). We receive only a purchase confirmation token to unlock the purchased content.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the core App functionality: task management, reminders, analytics, and care taker oversight.
- To send push notifications for task reminders, completion alerts, and daily summaries.
- To calculate analytics (completion rates, streaks, heatmap scores) displayed within the App.
- To support gamification features (XP, levels, badges).
- To operate the "I'm Fine" safety check-in feature and notify your emergency contacts when needed.
- To process in-app purchases and verify purchase status.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
Your health task data and proof submissions are shared only with users you have explicitly linked as care takers or dependents within the App.
We use Supabase as our backend provider for authentication, database, and file storage. Data is stored on Supabase's infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit.
In-app purchase transactions are processed by Google Play or Apple App Store, subject to their respective privacy policies.
4. Data Storage and Security
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption.
- Database access is protected by Row Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring users can only access their own data and data shared through active care relationships.
- Photos and videos are stored in private Supabase Storage buckets with scoped access policies.
- Passwords are managed entirely by the authentication provider (Google/Apple Sign-In) — we never store passwords.
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data (tasks, proof uploads, relationships, check-in history, analytics) will be permanently removed within 30 days.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data within the App (tasks, analytics, proof history).
- Delete your account and all associated data — see our Data Deletion page.
- Revoke care relationships at any time, immediately restricting the other party's access.
- Disable notifications through the App's settings or your device settings.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is designed for family health management. Accounts for minors should be created and managed by a parent or guardian acting as a care taker. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without parental consent.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App and on this page with an updated revision date.
